Jack Gaul Drummer
Jack was born in Gary, IN and raised in Kouts, IN. He started playing the drums in his 6th grade band. His parents did not know what they were in for when they bought that first set of drums; although, they were very tolerant and supportive. He was in a garage band and a wedding band during middle and high school until he joined the Marine Corp. After returning home, he joined yet another wedding band staying together for 6 years. This band gave Jack a large repetoire of music he carries with him throughout his career. Jack then joined a country/rock band after the original drummer's wife tried to poison him (go figure - only in a country band). Jack joined Shannon Raye and The Diamondback Band in 2001 and was looking forward to what the future might bring. Jack states, "Not only am I lucky enough to be playig with such great musicians,
but I've also created a cool circle of friends".
Jack is married to a wonderful woman who is extremely supportive. Jack also sends out hellos to his two biggest fans, his nieces Jackie and Jay-Jay. |

Albert Mendoza Acoustic/Electric Guitarist
Albert states that his first recollection of music was his parent's love of music. "Every Sunday morning my parents would listen to the local Tejano station. Music was always playing in our house." Albert credits his dad for the introduction to playing live music. "My dad and uncles played music for weddings, and I would follow them around to help with equipment."
Albert started his musical career in the elementary school band in which he played every musical instrument. Albert would learn one instrument and then become bored, so he would try another instrument the next year. "Mr. Osmond, the music teacher, would say at the beginning of the school year as I entered the room, okay Mendoza which instrument will it be this year."
Albert joined The Diamondback Band in July 2003. "I had heard Shannon Raye and The Diamondback Band play several times and when I heard they were auditioning for a new acoustic guitarist, I would dial the phone and then hang up. I never thought a self-taught guitar player could play with a band of their caliber. The other members are so talented that I cannot help but learn something new every time we play together." Since joining the band Albert states he has grown as a musician and looks forward to the future with Shannon Raye and The Diamondback Band.
Albert was born and raised in Hammond, IN. He is a graduate of Purdue University and currently resides in Hobart, IN with his wife and four children.
